Calling charges from BT number to 0844, 0845 and 0800 numbers
The calling charges to all of these 0800, 0844, 0845 numbers are different from each other. The charges made on these number itself define the use of that specific number, fro example if there is a toll free number, to which caller is charged zero pence will have a totally different use from a number which charges premium amount to the caller. So, the amount that is charged to the caller itself also defines the use of the number.
However if we take each of these number into account individually
BT numbers to 0800 numbers
The calling rate from any BT number to the 0800 number is toll free and that the caller is charged zero pence for calling a 0800 number. Instead the call receiver pays to the 0800 number service provider for all of the calls received.
BT numbers to 0844 numbers
The calling rate from BT numbers to 0844 numbers is a flat fee of 5pence per minute +VAT. Calling these number costs you a flat fee per minute i.e. the time of call has no influence on the call rate unlike the 0845 numbers. So, whether you call 0844 number at peak time or off peak time, you will be charged the flat fee.
BT numbers to 0845 numbers
The calling charges from BT number to 0845 numbers depend upon the time of the call made. i.e. you will be charged a higher amount for calling 0845 number at peak time and will be charged low calling it off peak time. So forth calling the 0845 numbers on weekend also costs you very less. The call charges to 0845 number from bt number at peak time is 3.5pence and off peak time is 2.5 pence , where as on weekends you will be charged 1 pence per minute.
